This is Vancouver native, Astor’s, newest works and one, which he claims contains a collection of his favourite personal work. Astor has a brilliant track record, producing for the likes of KAi Sky Walker, Spark Master Tape and Casey Veggies, but that doesn’t begin to explain his musical influence. Astor has been a musician for well over a decade, with prowess in each the drums, guitar, keys, bass and more. He has been a studio engineer for 6 years, and has since worked with Ivan Townsend and Money Hungry on the road to his present success. Today we get Dark Days, Cold Nights, a masterpiece of an instrumental album that truly showcases Astor’s diverse range of talents, and influences in his musical creations. The digital album is 13 tracks in length, with zero breaks or interludes interrupting the instrumental bliss. Each offers a unique look into Astor’s mind and genius, blending aspects of experimental production with traditional hip-hop sound.
