Orilla, Grossbuster & DJ Jetts live at Fortune Sound Club (2015) – RIP Orilla aka Orrie Tetoga Falesau

Here at HipHopVancouver we are saddened to learn about the unfortunate news that Victoria, BC musician Orrie Tetoga Falesau aka Orilla recently passed away (July 3/1988 – Mar. 31/2019). The cause of his death is undetermined. Orilla was a contributing member of Victoria based bands, Grossbuster and Tuff Jelly. He will be remembered for his warm, humble and friendly personality. Orilla had an vibrant, but uniquely laid back energy that drew you in and you couldn’t help but be engaged by his live performances, animated persona and contagious smile.
I didn’t know Orrie incredibly well, but we did have the opportunity to collaborate together on a live performance video back in 2015. At the time I was creating content for my own independent channel, Spliff Breaks, prior to moving myself over to HHV. The below video is a montage of songs that Orilla did with Grossbuster and DJ Jetts at Fortune Sound Club in Vancouver, BC on Mar. 17/2015.
