APR 19, 2017 – It’s safe to say that (UK) grime music has made its imprint on North American soil given the recent success of artists like Skepta and Stormzy – that and a strong co-sign from Drake including his UK influenced ‘More Life’ album doesn’t hurt either. On the heels of performing at the esteemed Coachella festival in Indigo California, BBK topboy Skepta made his well-awaited return to Vancouver to a sold-out Vogue theatre.
Even though his voice was a little worse for wear, presumably from a long weekend at Coachella, Skep played an energized set laden with his catalogue of grime bangers like That’s Not Me, Man, Shutdown and No Security.
