FEB 28, 2017 – The mighty Ghostface Killah, a man with more monikers than one can keep up with at this point, is no stranger to Vancouver. In fact, he seems to tour quite often for no apparent reason at all, however, this won’t stop loyal Wu-Tang followers from showing up to see him in droves and always eagerly sell out his shows in this fine city.
He and his crew are no strangers to the Rickshaw theatre either, unfortunately, this did not prevent some unforeseeable technical sound difficulties which delayed his being on stage quite significantly (over 30 mins to be exact. Thankfully, the crowd was blessed with a stellar opening performance from local crew The People Northwest and big Ghost did eventually show up alongside long-time Wu affiliate and god emcee Killah Priest.
GFK played a short set full of classics from both his solo and Wu Tang albums, including a performance of the late great ODB’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya.” Check out the photos below and protect ya neck, kid.
