Saturday June 21 – The mark of success for a Vancouver based rapper is hard to define, but being able to sell out a local headlining show at a decent sized venue is a start. Sonreal did not only that last Saturday night but he was fresh off the high from winning an MMVA for Muchfact Video of the Year – it’s safe to say the bar has been set high for other Vancity rappers.

The Vernon native took time from his role as support act for Grieves on a nationwide American tour to headline his biggest venue to date in Vancouver to adoring fans, friends and family. He even brought his tour mates Fearc Vill and Grieves as special guests to share in his moment to shine.
His performance was polished and sharper than ever as he graced the crowd with old favourites like Already There and Up, Up, Up to new joints like LA and Everwhere We Go and even some unreleased new material. It was a night the young emcee will cherish and a testament to all the work he has put in. It’s safe to say Sonreal is officially in the Canadian hip-hop elite class.
